Carla Moquin, CEO
Carla Moquin is the founder and CEO of Babies in Business Solutions and the Parenting in the Workplace Institute (PIWI).  Carla has been researching babies-at-work programs since 2005 and has interviewed more than 300 people at baby-inclusive organizations.  She has worked with more than 20 organizations to implement successful babies-at-work programs and compiled a database of more than 180 baby-inclusive organizations in more then 43 states and more than 30 different industries.  Carla has written two books about babies-at-work programs, Babies at Work: Bringing New Life to the Workplace and How to Start a Babies-at-Work Program.  She has a bachelor's degree in psychology from the Pennsylvania State University and a master's level certification in mediation and facilitation from the University of Utah.  She attended three years of law school at Concord University, a fully-online law school. 
Laurie provides comprehensive assistance to participating mothers at client companies who wish to breastfeed their babies, as well as assistance to the non-employee female partners of participating parents as desired.  She is the Operations Director and Lead Lactation Consultant of Best Fed Babies.  Laurie has a Master's degree in Nutrition Education and is a Registered Dietitian (RD) and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).
Laurie has been assisting breastfeeding mothers for more than twenty-five years.  She has helped thousands of mothers to successfully breastfeed their babies. 
Laurie sits on both the National WIC Association Breastfeeding Committee and the California Breastfeeding Roundtable.  Laurie developed and oversees the popular Breastfeeding Cafes, Moms2Moms Groups, Dads4Life, WIC@Work and Sistah Connection Groups in Riverside County, California.  Laurie has received numerous "best practices" awards for the work she has conducted at the national, state, and local levels.  Recognitions have included the Economic Research Service's "Innovative Breastfeeding Practices" award; the Princeton Mathematica Institute's "Best Breastfeeding Practices" award; and the Loma Linda University Perinatal Services Network's "Most Innovative Breastfeeding Promotion" award.
